Or how about a Saint Christopher to protect her on her travels? Only small gifts but very meaningful.
There's a lovely St. Christopher keyring -

I would go with a photobook from snapfish, asda, tesco. Lots of pictures of places youv'e been together - even just a picture of your local pub - to remind her of all the good times you have had0

Last 2 times one of my friends has moved away we have done them a photobook of Plymouth (were we live).
Weve taken photos of their work place, schools, favourite pubs, places we hang out, places that have special meanings to us. Oh and the usual things you think of when you think of Plymouth (theres a few landmarks round here and are a tad famous, lol).
Both friends have completely adored them, and they have pride of place in their new homes
Oh and I used photobox for mine.Green and White Barmy Army!0 -
I would also do a photobook, or a book of 'memories' photos, newspaper cuttings, written memories of times you spent together and places that you went.0

I too would do a photobook or buy a small album and fill yourself and write about what was happening at the time the photo was taken. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0

Oh well, i'll shut up then! :rolleyes:0

My sister and hubby emigrated to Canada in may this year. The photobooks etc are a great idea but he was a photographer and she was thecrafty one so they'd done all that themselves!
We decided not to give a present to go with them but had a hamper delivered to them when they moved into their new apartment. It was really easy to find a local company and it was quite cheap, had lots of yummy canadian treats in a really sweet house shaped box! SOme of the hampers started at around $30/£15! I'm sure there will be similar companies in oz!
We also had a giftcard delivered directly to them from a local department store so they cold get a few bits for the apartment before all their stuff arrived!
It's always nice to have something delivered when you've jst moved house, especially in another country!!

I saw memory sticks on offer in WHSmith's at the weekend. How about a memory stick that you load with pictures, recipes, poems etc? Small and easy to transport without weighing them down with lots of memories stored on it.
Memory stick - get it!!! I know, a very poor play on words. It entertained me for half a moment.0
