Applying for credit cards without the home owners permission

Hiya
Im new here so I apologise if this is the wrong place to post this.
I currently live at home with my parents as does my sister. Unfortunately, my sister is not very good with her money and is currently overdrawn and also has a loan. My sister has now applied for a credit card that will be registered at my parents address so I am worried that if she does not keep up with her payments that their house will be blacklisted.
My first question is, is there any way my parents can put a block on my sister getting any credit cards or any sort of credit against their home. Secondly, if she does not keep up with her repayments, when I apply for a mortgage will I have a russibh credit rating or even regected because of her mistakes?

Lisa, no and no.
it has no effect - don't worry about your future credit rating but maybe introduce her to this site...!
and also you can't be blacklisted

Brilliant!
So am I right in thinking that its the person that gets blacklisted and not the house?0 -
no one gets blacklisted - just a "bad" credit history which will be a problem for the individual in the future

Wow - you're on this board as well Lisa. Good to see you're covering all your bases and getting the same advice (as you received on the credit card board). I'm impressed with your initiative. Good luck once again.0

Ha I know! Sorry I didnt know where to put it! Thanks for the help though, some people on your are more unhelpful with their sarcastic comments! U know what they say tho - sarcasm is the lowest form of wit!0

Yes, I see what you mean regarding the sarcasm.
After the sarcastic comments on the other thread, YorkshireBoy has posted a couple of great links for you. If you become a regular on here, you'll find you can definitely rely on people like YorkshireBoy for reliable and helpful info.
Good luck.0 -
Yeah I just checked them out and they basically confirmed what uve said. If I ever go for a mortgage they will only look me up and not anyone else who lives in my house!
Thanks for all the help tho x0
