re the tree stumps, my mum made bird tables out of hers buy nailing a wooden chopping board on top! not sure if this is helpful or not

    Hiya,

Hee hee had to reduce a ridiculously useless and dangerous bank by as much as 3 feet above the patio so it looks like someone's been quarrying soil at the mo :rotfl: It looks much tidier though.

That's a good idea of your mum's. The plan was to remove them so the tree surgeon chopped them low and to plant a windbreak which would also screen off the car parking space behind them. I was planning on building a bird table close to the house using a rustic pole which had been an upright from a rickety pergola. Bread board would do nicely. I forgot to ask the digger driver to excavate me a hole for it though :o

Well done, I started with a £200 budget for food etc and I'm running at about £160 a month average too.

  • Balance at 31 March was £69,500 - 1k less than estimated. 1k less to pay interest on. 1k closer to being mortgage free. Only £69,264 left to go:rotfl:
