What to do about loans?

Hiya,
Im looking for some advice about my 2 personal loans.
One is with Northern Rock with about £9300 left and the other is with IF with about £12000 remaining. I am paying 8.7% on both loans and a friend suggested that I try and move them as the interest rate is too high. I have tried applying for both Abbey and also A&L but have been turned down for both. I also have about £8000 credit card debt, the majority of which I have recently managed to switched to 0% cards. I still have some that I need to move and am plannning to apply for a Virgin card when my A&L card is closed (as they are both underwritten by MBNA).
Any advice would be much appreciated,
x

Hi SugarPlumFairy
8.7% isn't that high - I know there are much better rates advertised just now but if you've been refused by Abbey and A&L chances are that you wouldn't get the cheapest rates if you were accepted by another lender anyway...
Hope this makes you feel a bit better - sorry it's not great advice0
