How to find out info on Company's Pension Plan

I am thinking of opening a pension with the company I currently work for. They contribute 3% of my salary BUT what concerns me is the lack of transparency about the pension fund. I have asked what the AMC's are and as I understand it the company pays for it. They weren't so forthcoming about asset allocation. For example, an employee can select whether to hold their pension in equities, gilts or cash but when pressed on what the holdings were in equities I was advised to ask my financial adviser. I don't have one at the moment. I asked a colleague if he had any luck through his financial adviser but the answer was the same. I presume I am entitled to know some sort of information about the pension. It's great that they're contributing 3% but not if I don't know what they're going to do with my money. Can anyone advise me on this?

Thank you,
:rotfl:  _party_ :grouphug: Laughing all the way...:EasterBun :kisses3:

  • You will be invested in funds managed by an investment institution. They should have a factsheet for each fund which tells you what they invest in. It may also include recent investment performance.

Which investment manager runs the funds? You'll probably find them on the website.
