Just seen this on Innkeeper's Lodge website...
I don't know if anybody works / volunteers for any registered charities, but this is great for them. I have snt the details to the charity I volunteer with as they currently rent (albeit at minimal charge) a room.
Please do not abuse this, it is great for them to do this.
Charities invited to meet at innkeeper's lodge
Many of our lodges have got great meetings rooms – and we’ve decided to use these to offer a much needed helping hand to charities.
Throughout 2008, Innkeeper’s Lodge is offering registered charities across the UK the use of its meeting room facilities, free of charge.
With well equipped meeting rooms that boast LCD computer projector screens, flip charts, TVs and videos at most of its locations, Innkeeper’s Lodges are used frequently by many businesses and organisations thanks to their convenient and wide ranging locations. And if business are looking for an informal and relaxed area, where privacy is still respected, then our lodges offer the perfect solution at their adjoining restaurant area.
Recognising that charities meet regulalrly and often have to use precious funds for room hire, we are offering the meeting room facilities to registered non profit organisations for free.
Innkeeper’s Lodge sales & marketing manager, Rob Goodier, said: “Charities do absolutely fantastic work on extremely tight budgets. And by giving them the use of our meeting room facilities free of charge, we are hoping to help non profit organisations to focus their finite resources completely on their campaigns.
“Having previously worked alongside the McMillan Appeal, we know first hand how important it is for companies to support charities and the work that they do.
“We are hoping that registered charities looking for somewhere to hold a meeting, volunteer recruitment drive, a training session or an event, for example, will think of us.
“As our meeting room facilites are very popular with local businesses, availability is limited and available on a first come first served basis.”
With more than 190,358* charities currently listed on the Charity Commission for England and Wales’s register, Innkeeper’s Lodge are looking forward to welcoming registered charities throughout 2008.
For more information and/or to book a meeting room free of charge please email Innkeeper’s Lodge on meeting-rooms@innkeeperslodge.com.
