Nat West Step Account - not closed...

Hello
I've just found out that the Nat West have kept our Step Account open. The OR said that they would be informing them that they had no interest in the account (this was done in April 08) - and the account is still active.
I've just spoken to them to change our address (didn't mention the BR, of course! ) - are we ok to use this account do you think?
Anyone else got a step account which has been left open?
Would be handy because Tesco online don't take Visa Electron (Co-op).....but they do take Solo..
Thanks

Went BR in Feb and the OR informed everyone, but I am still using my Natwest account. Its all been hunky doory since (more or less!)0

I opened my Step account a couple of days after declaring BR. Natwest were happy to offer me the account even though I told them I was bankrupt.
2 years later and I'm still with them with the same account.
I did try to upgrade the account a few months back to a current account as I was getting very fustrated with having a Solo card that a lot of online companies do not accept. They rejected the application even though I told them again that I was a discharged BR before we even started the application.0 -
Im in a similar situation with my Lloyds current account. The OR wrote to them to say she had no interest, I keep ringing to check that they havnt closed my account but they keep saying they never rec'd any letters from the OR.
Im just carrying on using it atm, I have a co-op one already opened should they close it.
