Debit Card while in an IVA

Hi,

am in the process of applying for an IVA and wondered if it is ok to haev a debit card.

We cancelled all of our credit cards and debit cards with our bank and opted for a basic bank account with an atm card only (as advised by CCCS), but are finding this a bit hard.
e.g if we need to just buy a couple of things have to take a whole £10 out and generally end up using that too.

    if you can find someone to give you one then yes probably, but check with your IVA supervisor

    some basic accounts give visa electron or solo as standard so I would imagine it is allowed.

    Though not a debit card, a prepaid credit card, such as Cashplus, may be of help. Though you do have to put money on it first, it does at least mean you've got a card to use in shops and online.

    Paid back just under £50,000 due to some interest added.
