how much for tax stamp

My husband has recently left work and is now self employed, how much money does he need to save for tax etc? Someone has said 10% which seems really steep? Any ideas? Thanks

Might be worth looking on Small Biz and Charity board, where similar questions have been asked. But to me 10% sounds far too little! As an employed person, I reckon 25% of my gross salary disappears in tax and NI, and unless your husband's earnings from self employment are under his personal allowance I don't see that he'd be liable to pay a lot less than that.
