How much did you spend today?

Options
Hi All.

It's so cool. I checked my online banking today and they have removed my loan from it, so its not there anymore. That has just made it sink in so much more (I know its such a small think, but its fab!!).

Mind you, I got home Friday to receive a letter from my bank asking why I had cancelled my DD with the loan co and could I call them immediately to pay November's installment. That made me mad considering I had been in there the day before to settle it. Its funny how that letter got to me so quick, but I still havent received a "Thank you, your loan is now closed" letter. Grrrrrr!! Still, thats life I suppose.

I had a nice weekend with my family & travelled into London today...spent a bit of money (£18 on train fare) and then got my hair done by my sister for £30 (wouldve been £50 if Id got it done here), but nothing else....

Ebay items all end today, and they are going well, still it doesnt look as though I'll be making much after the ebay fees!! Oh well.

Got lunch with me today, and home tonight, so wont spend anything, hoorah!!

Have a good dayx

Not having a good day spending-wise. Had to fork out £60 on a train ticket to Newcastle for a hen weekend at the end of the month, however I had got it down from £88 after a bit of fishing around for single tickets. £1.40 on milk as I am milk monitor this week, plus i arrived home last night at midnight to bare cupboards and so will be buying lunch today. Oh and I spent 30p on toast this morning. However, I didn't pay for food this weekend as i was at home, and i managed to go to the market and get my veggies in as I'm trying to cut my food budget down to £30 a week this month for the grocery challenge.
However my ebay items did really well over the weekend and I found a box of OH's books that i thought mum had car booted, so they'll be going on auction later this week.

Not too bad today, bought my weekly Bus Ticket today £8.50, but saved £5.00 last week by buying instead of paying for each jounery, so very happy about that. Unfortunately I've been to the snack machine again at work so 44p on that. The only other thing I need to buy today is Milk, and will bake tomorrow night so should be tempted my the snack machine anymore. Think I'm starting to get used to this not spending thing.

  • Nothing yet BUT car is in the garage for repairs (again) but they didn't fix one of the faults properly last time so won't be paying for that one! Other fault shouldn't cost more than £15. Will kick up a fuss if it is!

£17 on a book and CD from Amazon (just wanted the CD originally, but it's £15 for free delivery, so picked the cheapest book off my wish list so I could get the free delivery!) Well, I would have bought the book eventually and I decided to treat myself as I have a temporary job until Christmas (this is my third week). Not had money for ageeees as been unemployed or doing short term temp assignments and the CD is my favourite band in the whole world!

OK, I've finished with the excuses now :o, must be firm with myself as starting Christmas shopping this weekend.

I'd forgotten how nice Cadbury's fudge tastes. Think I might have to raid my penny jar for 30p and pop down the sweetshop later. I'm drooling just thinking about them! :D

    NOTHING !!
But will go out later to do my weekly shopping - all planned, no extras - so that doesn't count. :D
    Does it? :o
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.
  • today is the 6th day in a row i have spent nothing

however i am not feeling that great about it
have managed to work out that by paying an extra 150 per month i can get my debt free date down to six months earlier than planned
really want to do that so am now trying to find ways to cut back and find that 150

have listed some stuff on ebay, signed up for extra survey companies and am considering signing up for a medical research co - not sure they would want me though : (

tomorrow is major grocery shop day then hopefully another six days of - no charge!!
