Being Dense, Question About Booking Tesco Delivery Slot

Sorry, but I'm suffering slight confusion.
I've booked my slot, but do I have to go to checkout now? I want delivery in a week and a half, but if I checkout now, I can't add any discount codes, to hopefully get the delivery fee back, which seems a bit mean.
Any way around this?

I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

As far as im aware if you dont check out within the allocated time then you will lose the booked slot.0

If your delivery is only for a week /half later why dont you get your code first.
Im sure the slot you wanted will still be available if you trawl through for a code first.0 -
Book your slot - then fill your basket, then checkout. Your discount codes should work when you have enough goods in your basket to offset them. You can then go in after you check out and change or add any items, and your discount codes should remain on the system. Always remember to check out after doing any changes. You can continue to change your basket until the day before delivery, keeping your original delivery slot. HTH:j0

You have two hours between booking the slot and having to pay otherwise you lose the slot.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0
