Cheap Christmas beef

ASDA have whole rolls of beef joints at £3.22 per KG, that's only £1.46p LB!!!! I found them in the chiller cabinet all vacumn packed. They are large but only cost about £10-11 each. It's good beef, either topside or silverside and should make a great roast. Cut it smaller and freeze it or even use it in stews and casseroles etc. At that price it's cheaper than mince! Ex-butcher ;)

I've always been pleased with the beef I've bought from Asda. Sometimes I treat us to their boneless rib of beef joints, and they're very good.

Had one from Tesco and it wasn't anywhere near as good.

My local sunday market always have beef at £10 a roll. Sometimes 3 for 25 at the end of the morning.
Superb meat too, not bright pink / tesco's label red style but mature deep red and a good diameter too. and tied with real string rather than that elastic netting.
I spit the rolls in half, I'd say the rolls are good for 10-12 we always have enough for a round of butties the next day too.

This morning he had a whole shoulder of pork (~11-12lbs) and a leg fillet (~9-10lbs) for £10 at the end of the morning.
You can't buy a whole shoulder of por that size in the supermarkets round here (smaller size mostly).
10 for dinner next week, it'll do nicely ;)

Also 25Kg sack of best, washed clean, spuds (Mostly medium baker size)£6.50 Light and fluffy for everything.
Dirty whites £4.50 but the £2 is worth it for the quality ones.
It's cold enough to keep them in the garage now for at leat a month or two if they stay in the dark. Far cheaper than the supermarkets.
