Should I be concerned ?

just got back from holiday and found letter on the mat ! 5 months into BR and have been called into OR office for second interview to look at spending on a particular credit card and how I ever thought I would pay it back - already answered this in phone interview but clearly they have re looked ?

Should I be concerend ?
Whats the worst thing that can happen?
Why now ?

For the record there is nothing dodgy just overspending from paying too much out paying back other stuff.

Hi BorgElites - you just have to be honest and if you can't remember, just say so. Did you make any payments to that credit card after spending on it? If so you can say that too.

Good luck - when do you have to go in?

  • God that scares me poop-less! I havent made an credit card purchases for 2/3 years but the spending i did do wasnt always neccessities. There were some meals out with friends etc. It was my first year at university and I was with new friends and didnt want to be sat home alone with my evil ex landlord. I genuinely thought I could pay it back, I really did.

Eeek, please update and let me know how you get on.

The worst thing that can happen is... you get a BRO which effectively delays your discharge for 2 - 15 years. (15 is NOT going to happen, think gamblers with £200,000 worth of debts who gambled the day before BR) I doubt they'd give you that. They'll have seen a thousand people like us... basically most bankrupts (ignore business br and gamblers) got credit easily, thought we could pay it back and either underestimated payments or fell on hard times. BR is for us!

Dont worry and if you feel like you need support / chat PM or msn me.

Blueopal a BRO or a BRU will NOT delay discharge. You will still be discharged after 12 months as normal. All that happens with a BRO/BRU is it extends the restrictions of bankruptcy for 2-15 years.
