What if someone lies to the insolvency service?

It's a really long drawn out story so please excuse the blunt question
What if someone is declared bankrupt by the insolvency service yet there is clear evidence in the form of a court judgment stating:
It should be recorded that xxxxx has had the benefit of £339,000 at the year 2000 values.
There will apparently be 'no meeting as there is no prospect of a distibution of funds, either at all or in the immediate future'.
Any help would be appreciated

I'm sorry but I don't understand your post. Was it a debtor's or creditor's petition?
What was the court judgment for?
How do you know someone is lying and what are they lying about?

Debtor's or creditor's petition?
What are the circumstances, was it I owe the bank £15k, but it was really £20k, or I dont have a house, but I really do.0 -
This is a debtor's position, the individual owes legal costs and despite there being a judgment outlining his assets, he has tried to file for bankruptcy to escape his resposibility to these costs.0

If he is granted bankruptcy it is out of your hands. I'm still not sure where the lying is. IF he has said assets I'm sure the OR will know of them.

JUst because he 'had the benefit of' doesn't mean he still has the asset (especially if it was money and not property).
Can you be a bit more clear. ie tell us the whole situation and we may understand better what you're asking.

Hi - I'm not at liberty to divulge full details, in any case they're not relevant to the question of what happens to this individual once we prove he lied in his statement, e.g. imprisonment, fine, etc.?0

There was a case in my local paper a while back where a chap did not reveal his "interests" in a property he jointly owned. The ISS took him to court for perjury, which s what you are talking about crabman. Dalip.
I'm interested. I've just googled ISS and it comes up as "International Space Station"!
Surely not? It must mean something else, so please do tell?
Thanks.0 -
