Hi
absolutly hate dealing with money stuff so wanted a bit of advice before i deal with the dreaded end of the fixed 2 year deal
brief detail
house bought for 225,000 2 years ago
mortgage of 130,000
been offered a boe tracker of 1.09 which is great no credit checks needed BUT husband wants us to borrow another 5,000 so we can do windows etc and that will involve a credit check
no real baddies, but i am crap at paying my NEXT bill so thats always a few weeks late and we have about 12,000 on various cc's, (6400 of which is on a abbey cc 0% deal,) but we always pay the cc's on time.
will i have a problem do you think, husband will kill me if i've screwed this up!
thanks a lot for reading

If it's the next catalogue it is unlikely to show on your file as many mail order companies do not.
Even if it does, depending on the amounts involved, most lenders to take a view on mail order accounts and Abbey is one of the better ones.
If you have defaulted, that may well be a different matter but an occasional slow/late payment on a small catalogue should not be enough to worry you if your mortgage and other credit is A paid.
No guarantees as it depends on your overall profile (not just credit file), but Abbey have agreed to lend to a lot worse.I am an IFA (and boss o' t'swings idst)You should note that this site doesn't check my status as an IFA, so you need to take my word for it. my next account does show up on my credit report in fact all of my mail order accounts do.
i have been late paying them in the past but it has never showed up on my credit report i presume because i have allways paid it before the next payment was due so you might be ok.
if you want to be sure why not have a look at your credit report first.sealed pot challenge member #9200
