It depends entirely on how they operate at your court.
Some have a drop in service, next day, some a wait of 1 week, others have waiting lists of up to 2 months.

Which is your court, if we know where you're going we'll be able to guide you further.

    Hi jimm24
From the date of your court hearing it takes a max of 12 months. If your affairs are straightforward then you could be discharged early, say around 6 months.

As peachy says as soon as you see the judge you are bankrupt. So effectivley the day of your appointment in court.
The judge I saw said "Mr X, as from 10:46 today you are officailly bankrupt."
"Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

They're pretty good at Romford, if you phone this week you should be able to get an appointment next week, I think they only book 2 weeks in advance so it's never too long to wait.

  • I went BR at Romford.Had to wait 2 month for appointment.
Went at 9am out by 11am all done and dusted.
They are all nice and friendly there.
I was really nervous but there was no need, they guided me all the way with a smile.
