My local Tesco have had the whole salmon on offer for the last 3 weeks and lobster half price for the last 2 weeks! I am hoping they will change it to something else soon as I already bought as much salmon as my husband could stomach! :D
Cod or Haddock would be nice, Sea Bass would be even better. :p
Does anyone know what day the offer changes?

I did even better yesterday. Popped into my local on my way to work and asked the fishmonger to prepare me 2 large salmon, which I would pick up about 4pm. I was going to cut one into nice size fillets and the other into cubes for salmon kebabs.

When I went into pick up the salmon, the fishmonger told me it was even cheaper, half of half-price. I asked him for another 2, one for my freezer and one for my friends. I paid about £6.50 each for 4 ginormous salmon. I have only dealt with one so far. Cut one side into cubes and the other side into 8 portions.

The fishmonger explained that the promotion ended last night and he had to get rid of the remaining stock.

It always pays to keep tabs on your local fishmonger/butcher & greengrocer to see if their prices are competitive with the supermarkets. :T

Just got back from Tesco's, Value Banana's are now £1.00 for a 1.5kg bag.

Last week they were about £1.35. They have a 'normal' white shelf edge label not a yellow one so not on offer.

The normal loose banana's are 97p / kg in my local store so a great saving, I always buy the Value banana's and i have never had any problem with them, you just need to check the banana's as some of them can be a bit bruised.

    Hope this helps.

The value bananas are even nicer at 37p reduced for quick sale - they still take about another week to ripen.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.
  • They must have a banana glut as there were loads of reduced ones in my Tesco yesterday. Big bags for 50p

Asda's have them for £1.37 for 1.5KG if it helps anyone who doesn't have a tesco. 97p a KG otherwise.
