Which type of herbal essences was it? I use the orange and green ones

I spotted those little egg timers which you put in the pan when you boil eggs and it changes colour to indicate when your eggs are done (to various different options from soft to hard-boiled). I have one of these and it does work. The 99p Store one is extremely similar to (if not exactly the same as) this one which John Lewis sells for £6.45 with great reviews!!!

Well if you ever cook eggs for others then I'd say it's worth a try!

I go for long spells being completely 'off' eggs but do like egg and soldiers every now and again (who says they're just for kids?! :D) and this little gadget really helps get the eggs just how I want them. Even for very occasional use, for me it's worth 99p.

My mum found this for me in the Stroud store as I've been looking for a face moisturiser with a high SPF. They had 2 different varieties-one says 'transparent skin' and the other 'even complexion' (slightly tinted). Both SPF 50 UVB and UVA PA +++
Says on the bottle that it's a 12H long lasting UV protector. Tailor made for Asian phototypes (but I have very pale skin with lots freckles and it was fine)

I used it on my face as a suncream on holiday last week and I'm not the least bit sunburnt. The cream smells nice and feels light on my skin when applied. Very impressed. In fact I was so pleased that I went to the St Austell store while I was on holiday and bought another 3 bottles. They're only 30ml, so fairly small compared to most moisturisers, but very good value, I thought. Found in the health/beauty section instore. Boxed, btw.
    Hope that helps someone. :)

Eta-not sure why the title has gone strange. Should say L'oreal...

Cool, my supply of Stila tinted moisturisers c/o Poundland is now coming to an end...! Does the L'Oreal product work well under make-up or is it cream cheesey?

I don't wear make up, so I can't comment. Feels very light & sinks in well, though. Actually on the bottle it says it 'can be used at the end of your skincare routine, as a daily moisturising make-up base'.

Went to the Camden branch yesterday evening as I was passing through, in search of this:

No luck, but I found this, exp Nov 13 so great for summer afternoon snacks with a G&T:
    Drums of Cheddars.
Also found Nairns stem ginger biscuits (usually over £1 in supermarkets, and useful as a handbag snack :D) and interestingly enough a mini paper guillotine, which I couldn't resist buying. There were also nicely packaged 15g bars of Belgian chocolate at 29p each / 6 for 99p, not good value for chocolate but great for party favours.

I popped in today to have a look at the L'Oreal UV moisturiser, and was tempted, but when I "tested" a bit on the back of my hand, it appeared to contain skin "illuminator" i.e. has a slightly sparkly/shimmery finish (although I stand to be corrected) and my skin just looks older with any hint of shimmer :( and I really don't need that :rotfl:Although on testing, I think it would be a good base for make-up - not at all cream cheesy VfM4meplse!

Oh, forgot to add that they'd got 35ml Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief, not with the other toothpastes, they were right by the tills in a Colgate cardboard display thingy.
