hiya
there are some great places to eat:
Milan in cathcart street, Greenock is a real great restaurant, as well as China garden at the other end of cathcart street, across from Police office.
James Watt(wetherspoons) is also on cathcart street and they have a great atmosphere with great prices, aswell as good prices on various types of ale/pints.
Gourock: has a chinese restaurant just across from train station called Cathay princess, and i can recommend tat also, very nice meals and great atmosphere with candles on the table and good customer service.:j HEATHER :¬) :T

The Inverkip Hotel is very nice and only a 5 min car journey from Greenock/Gourock. There was a lovely, but fairly expensive, restaurant called Papillon (?) in Gourock but I seem to remember someone telling me it had closed. The Tontine in Greenock, is fairly average but it is alway busy and the locals seem to like it.0

I personally think the best restaurant in Greenock is Morgans on West Blackhall St. Huge portions, reasonably priced, if you are going at the weekend you would definitely need to book as its really popular.
When are you going?
