I rarely get a cake to survive past day one. Too many greedy people here.:rotfl:
I would say a normal sponge about five days. Sorry to be a little vague.
The egg has been cooked so that won't be a problem. It will just be the sponge drying out affecting the taste.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

if the sponge dries out a bit, put some cream on it and call it a gateau

If it is a fatless sponge it will only keep about a day before it becomes dry.0

My sponge cake (with eggs) tends to keep for about 7 days in an airtight tin. I found this out as a week ago I baked a cake and I thought my boyfriend had eaten the last piece. I just went to put the tin away and it was still there and still tasted lovely.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3650

If it does get a bit dry, pop it in the microwave for a few secs, and serve with ice cream

If it's still moist it's more than fine....I regard anything I don't have to scrape mould off as OK!Piglet
