Hoover 'The One' Upright Vacuum Cleaner

  • Hi, Take at look at a Sebo cleaner. Its originated in Germany and in my book its unbeatable! I was initially introduced to them by a friend and I don't think you will fail to be impressed. A further 3 friends have bought them on my reccommendation. 2 years guarantee on parts and labour and 5 years on parts. Cheaper to buy online than say from John Lewis or Fenwicks. Virtually cleans by itself. Good Luck

Hi I sell cleaners, and the Which report on the Hoover seems pretty accurate. Dysons are great. The DC14 is actually lower suction than its predecessor the DC07, but don't worry, it is still plenty strong enough. There is a new model called the DC14 Blitz, which comes with extra tools.
I own a Sebo, but getting them is increasingly hard. They are effectively commercial machines, and extremely good.
If you want a cylinder, check out the Miele range (Which best buys) though if you are on a budget, the Numatic Henry may look daft, but it is a great little machine.

  • Get a Miele
  • Pfffff! Miele? Get a Nilfisk!
  • All very good talking about a sebo, but they all require bags !

I can't be doing with the expense and management of bags

You are supposed to wash them every six months with the Dyson ones but to be honest I have never remembered yet and I have not noticed any difference in performance.

I have a Meile Revolution cylinder. I have never noticed a reduction in performance as the filters get clogged. You won't notice it as it's very gradual.

You will, however, notice it if you replace a full, knackered filter with a new one, or maybe even give the dirty one a good clean.
  • we bought an electrolux vitesse Pet Lover last week. It's £70 and i have to say for the price it is fantastic, our carpets look cleaner than they have in a long time. It's an upright. We have a vax, but fine as it is on the laminate, but useleess on the carpet (the vax is old).
Anyway, i'd recommend this if you're looking for a fairly cheap upright.

    Hiya
I've just had a new dyson and have owned them for the last 10 years I wouldnt be without one now. I have a cylinder upstairs and an upright downstairs. I prefer the upright but my hubby finds the cylinder easier to use when he is doing the car.

I think they are well worth the extra money and mackro have some good deals on them to

I've had my Miele for nearly three years now and it is BRILLIANT! I would thoroughly recommend it.
I had a Dyson before but the suction did fail after two years and hence I looked elsewhere. Miele was cheapest online but I went to a very good shop where they matched the price....................:)

According to the full Which reports the cylinder vacs are far superior to the upright vacs but personally I think they are too much hard work!

Dyson comes out about the best upright but Which say the are very poor on reliability.

From the which report I think about the best carpet bagless upright cleaner is the ELECTROLUX Z2915 which are £69.99 @ Comet so think I will go for that unless anyone can find it cheaper! :)
