Hello all
Can't think of anywhere else to put this. I love stir fries ... but I have an electric (halogen) hob. Can you use a wok on one? It strikes me that for a wok to work it needs gas flames? Can anyone tell me as I am craving stir fried veggies ....
Also - any idea whether I should get a non-stick one or not?
Thanks

I've got a large stainless steel wok from Argos that is suitable for use on electric (halogen) hobs - i didn't go for non-stick and don't have much of a problem cleaning it (it goes in dishwasher too)

This is like mine: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8610399/Trail/searchtext%3EWOK.htmNewlywed at the point I joined the forum... now newly separated0 -
i used my wok on a halogen hob in a house we used to live in. no problems at all . it was a non stick wok.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0
