Can anyone tell me what this message means:

"Your request cannot be completed, as one or more of the products you wish to purchase are not available in the quantity you requested."

I have tried to add a few different products to my basket but keep getting that message. Some products say they are out of stock but that doesnt necessarily say its out of stock,

That means has gone out of stock in the last 30 mins

Thanks for the warning CalticStar - I also ordered a coat for my wife using the 20% code & free delivery, so I'll be interested to se what happens there. Please post back with your results.

Sorry, I forgot to post back about this but I did get my discount in the end, it turned out that there had been a keying error on the part of a member of staff and was nothing to do with the discount policy.

Just to refresh you all :)

There are valid discount codes around
(I had in the mail) for The Debenhams discount event, which is from December 3rd until December 5th,
with savings up to 20% on selected items
or 10% off cosmetics and fragrances.

There is an extra 10% off code (it does say for cardholders, but it may work for you)
    Valid for this event only.
The code is P4JP and can be used on top of the event discount.

An extra 5% off code for cosmetics and fragrances (it does say for cardholders, but it may work for you) can also be used with the event discount.
The code is P2TP. Valid for this event only.

The free delivery code SHA1 may also work for you.

To get the codes to work, enter like with commas in between ie: P4JP, SHA1

Don't forget to go through Quidco for an extra 4% cashback.

    Happy shopping :)
  • Did you manage to resolve the problem? I'm getting the same message. I'm trying to buy a clock for myself - wouldn't have thought there would be a high demand for it.

I'm still getting the messages like I did yesterday. Why cant it just say out of stock!

I have had the same problem.Even when you manage to take these items through checkout and order confirmed,an email arrives a couple of days later to say the item is out of stock. Then when you go back on website the same item is for sale again.Strange!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thought of phoning up and asking?
might be a glitch on the site poss
  • I just bought 2 pairs of trousers - 1 of those I had to manually search for by description, because using the menu to filter by designer didn't give me the pair that I wanted. Will be interesting to see if they're in stock.

Still, thanks for the codes above - both worked, although I only got 5% instead of 10%, so I guess that's cos I'm not a card holder.
No signature here. Move along please.

The other code P4JP should give you 10% off any other item.

That's the code I used. I wasn't buying fragrances so the other code would have been useless.

Anyway, I got 2 sale items for 5% less & free postage, so I can't complain.

  • The current discounts of 20% off and an extra 10% off for card holders has been extended till Sunday(saw on TV), and the Daily Mail has a voucher for £5 off a £25 spend in on Sunday.Obviously the voucher may state it does not start till Monday, but if you can use it on Sunday you could buy goods for £35 and after 20%+10%+£5 comes off you would pay only £20.20.
