Helpful advice to get one at Argos
I too had mine cancelled by HMV this morning. I then spent the entire morning trying to track one down, using the internet stock checkers, as well as ringing all stores within a 30-mile radius that might have stocked them. I got no-where. I then gave up, and went to do my grocery shopping. I happened to park next to Argos, and thought i would go in to ask why other people seem to be able to get them reserved, but there are never any showing in my local branch.
The lady came up trumps! She said any store that is getting a delivery that day will not show the stock up until 2-3pm. She said try checking with the 'click and reserve' constantly between that time, as they come in and fly out again. Then her colleague said something to her,and she said " i'm just going to check the home delivery service for you. I told her that has been showing as permanently out of stock for weeks. She smiled and asked me for my name and address and was i prepared to pay the delivery charge!!!
As I'm staring at her, open mouthed, she said the store stock checker system was different to the customers online one. So my advice is to go to your local Argos and ask them to check if they are available for home delivery. You might just be surprised.x
