Cheapest photo printing place

Hi,

I would like to get photos printed out in either 5X7 or 6X4. I have over 2000 to print out and would like to get the best price possible. Any recommendations, I don’t mind using online or a local large retailer such as Boots etc...
Kind Regards,

Imran Bashir :)

I've used PhotoBox (www.photobox.co.uk) for several years. Really fast service (i.e. order at lunchtime and they post the prints the same day) and excellent quality. For those kinds of quantities they will do them for 5 pence per print. Uploading is going to take you a while though...

  • Thanks for the quick response...

Is there any discount codes I can use to bring the price down further?
Or are there any cheaper online retailers out there?

I don’t mind waiting a while to get a better deal if anyone knows that some of the retailers will have special offers on after the summer holidays so people can print out their holiday snaps.

I’d like to pay around 4p per print at 5x7 or 3p per print at 4x6 is this realistic?

Also when uploading, do they automatically change the ratio / resolution for you as mine are taken at 5 megapixels, if its cropped, how can I preview where they will be cropped?
    Kind Regards,

  • Try Snapfish, they were recommended by Which magazine recently. Looks like that quantity would cost 5p per print at 6x4, also first 20 prints are free. By using Quidco can get you £3.50 cashback.

I've used them and found the experience to be satisfactory, prints arrived promptly after 2 days and quality was good. Watch out for re-sizing though, I selected this option and in hindsight should have left it at 6x4.

    Hope this helps.

  • I have used Artscow - based in Hong Kong.
Even with their shipping their 6x4 comes out at about 5p & their 5X7 about 6p - the 5X7 is cheap at moment due to a promotion making the price the same as the 6x4 - very slightly more for shipping.

You also get 200 free 6X4 & 200 free 5X7 - however these are split over 4 months - 50 of each a month. Might be worth splitting your order.

The quality I've found is GREAT - printed on Fuji paper + they image enhance (or not - if you'd prefer they don't do this).
