In the Preston store this afternoon I bought a box of Thornton's continental Paris milk collection 695G for a Father's day pressie. I paid £4.99 I've just looked on line & they are £19.99  They have a good sell by date too :j
Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker :)

The Sheffield store has ice cream flavoured chewits for 10p a pack! I haven't seen them around for years! Yay!

OMG I remember them, takes me back to being a kid lol! Will have to get a pack and see if I still like them.
  • today in the stafford store they had thorntons chocolate cakes for 3.99 rrp 6.99

In Telford as well ... I was gutted as I have just joined a slimming club to lose the excess pounds so had to leave it on the shelf

Also bags of Thorntons fudge (not misshapes) for about 70p and small boxes of Thorntons chocs again about 70p (ideal for 'thankyou's').

There's a very new one in Worksop, which is only about 10/15 minutes from Retford - so there's a rewarding day out!

PS 2 doors away from HB in Retford there's a B&M store. There's also one in the centre of Worksop - the HB shop is on one edge of the town.

Use the storefinder on this link, which gives you maps:

    Thanks Wendy

I usually go to Retford and didn't realise Worksop now has one!! Is it near Netto? How does it compare with Retford?

Coatbrigde today had rubber stamps - the ones on the wooden block for 19p. They were two different sizes maybe an inch square and a bigger one thats about 3 inches square. Various designs like "Thank You" "Party" "Happy Birthday" a butterfly, a flower and a love heart. Smashing buy for any crafters.

Yes it's near (might even be next to) Netto, but I don't know Worksop well, so do check the map in case there are 2 Nettos!

It's not huge, and on the one occasion I went didn't seem to have a wider range of stock than Retford - presumably they'll be on the same delivery run.

Take a large empty suitcase with you, and in case a) it's your only visit this year and b) they're on top form, take a list of people you buy presents and cards for. No-one where you live will have a clue what bargains you got. I hope you have a fab time.

Stroud HB today had lots of Hallmark gift bags, original prices at least £2 each, for 29p and 39p each. Also Hallmark ribbons, some paper etc.
They had Thorntons bags of mishapes for 99p as well as various Hannah Montana torches, keyrings and so on if you know anyone who likes that sort of thing!

I had never been there before but had a brilliant time nosing about and will be going back as soon as I can. :)
