I picked up a few packs of 4x Fameart Rechargeable AA Batteries in the Derby branch of HB at the weekend, £1.99 each . They're pretty much Energizer batteries without the known brand aspect.

Only 1300mAh, but absolutely perfect for game controllers etc.

I also saw an old man knock a large glass jar of coffee on the floor shortly before muttering 'run away' and shuffling off.. :)

Didn't see who knocked/dropped it but there was a large jar of coffee being swept up in my store yesterday as well, wonder if we were in the same home bargins?;)

Telford had the Shining Stars yesterday but no dragon which is what I was after. They all looked a bit sad though - like they were being strangled.
  • I bought a lovely mat for the living room in ours the other day for £26.

I bought some cereals bars for packed lunches in HB yesterday. The Weetabix white chocolate bars are 15p each , the box is 5 for 99p so it is dearer to buy them boxed. I'm not sure if they are both the same size but as they were for children I wasn't bothered if they were smaller or not.
Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!

Makes sense when you think about it, boxes cost money, saves the environment too a little with energy not needed to produce so much cardboard. ... Unless they come in these boxes and are then taken out of them to fill the shelves instead of out of larger containers.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

  • Does anyone (employees maybe?) know when the new Home Bargains store is opening in Cwmbran? I thought it was this Friday BUT the opening day has gone off the website. Didn't appear to be open last night.

Do they do special offers on opening day?

For those that don't know - it's where the old Somerfield store was so could well be larger than the nearest other one in Newport.

for all you home bargains lovers like me, there is a massive new store opening soon where the old allied carpet store is next to matalan, derby. whoop whoop more bargains.

I will have to over come my fear of driving to Derby (pehaps the park and ride :rotfl:) and go have a look.

I go to Alfreton Home Bargain but would be in heaven for a wander around a bigger store :D
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)
