Anyone tried this - did the cashback work?

Cashback worked for me, but I wasn't happy that somehow my free gift (DHC Cleansing Oil) didn't get requested by the Great Magazines company. When I wrote asking if they had sent it as it had been nearly 28 days, they wrote back saying they didn't know why it hadn't been requested and now they'd run out of it! I was offered a choice of three other gifts, none worth anywhere near what the original gift was worth (£52). One cost about £10 in Boots and another was 3 extra issues of Top Sante. I went for a neck gel, which cost the most out of the three, but isn't something I want. :(

This happened before with these people several months ago. I was supposed to receive a full size tube of L'Occitane hand cream for a magazine subscription, but they said the same thing, that somehow it hadn't been requested by them, so I dipped out that time too.

Next time, have a look in the magazine, usually on a left hand page near the front. There is what is known as a 'flannel panel' which lists the publisher and key staff. Write to the subscription director and tell them how unhappy you are - Great Mags etc are just 3rd parties so don't really care.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Do you think that the magazine would do anything though, seeing as the offer was from a third party ? I was looking forward to trying this skincare.

Yes - they work for the publisher so consider it helping the publisher with their contract monitoring :D. Very few publishers sell their own subscriptions - most go via 3rd parties, even if you phone and they say the mags name.

Did anyone actually receive the DHC skincare products worth £52 with the instyle subscription? I was really hoping to get this, but instead I was sent; Dr.Ceuticals bottom lift & tone, Dr. Ceuticals body tone & tan, love your skin bath & shower cleansing gel and love your skin body moisturising gel. Nice gifts, but not what I was expecting :)

Thanks very much for this info gallygirl, I will certainly do as you suggest if this happens again.
