Bankruptcy and...erm, fantasy football (!?!)

One of the more random posts this one!!!
It's that time of year again - the papers are awash with fantasy football games which is one of my favourite hobbies of the year which also gives me nicer things to worry about. I normally fork out a tenner or so to enter the Telegraph and Sun competitions and be part of a super league with friends and colleagues alike.
This might sound silly, but could fantasy football entry be translated as a form of gambling? I personally prefer to see it as entry into a competition.
Even if it is seen as gambling, I can't actually see anything in the BR duties about not gambling (are there some I've missed?).
I'm sure it is fine and will be deemed as expenditure from my own funds (not that anyone need know anyway what it is for!).
Just thought I'd make sure this couldn't bite me back at a later date anyway!

I don't see that you've got anything to worry about personally. Would the money be paid in cash or straight from your bank account i.e. as a debit card payment?Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0

It would be debit card - but I'm sure the statement would only show something like 'Daily Telegraph' anyway. Of course, that could effectively be a purchase for anything!!
I don't think there's anything to worry about either and it probably seems like a daft question anyway, but I like to be over cautious!!0 -
I can't see it being a problem, it's not like it's hundreds and is presumably coming out of money not going towards an IPA, which you ve every right to do as you please with, so I can't see any problems!!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0
