Concil Tax Banding BE AWARE!!

I asked for a review of my council tax banding after watching Martin Lewis on T.V To cut the story down , there are 3 identical bungalows, mine being one of them. The other 2 are band 'D', mine is band 'E'. The VOA came to view the properties and could give no valid reason why mine was in a higher band. BE AWARE!! The next thing we know is that our neighbours have received a letter to say that they are putting their band up! This, as you can imagine, is causing a lot of anxiety and strained relations between neighbours. Nowhere has anybody ever said or written, to my knowledge, that they can put the neighbours banding up.To compound the issue, the neighbour on the other side of my property is also in band 'E' and worth at least double ours. If I appeal any further, because I don't honestly believe that mine is in the right band, it might mean they have to put all the properties in the lane into a higher band. Has anyone else had this problem? (Is Martin Lewis aware that this is a possibility?)

I had my band reduced from D to C, now they are putting mine back up again and intend to raise the bands of some other properties in my road. I am just waiting for the VOA evidence why they are doing this etc then ill be off to the tribunal to appeal, I think the government are sick of all the money they are having to pay out and now going to start upping bands to nip it etc.

Yes, had happened locally here as well and people are having their bands increased from D to E. I agree that it is because they are fed up of paying out and are getting round it.
