Be cautious......just because it's sold in a hairdressing warehouse doesn't mean it's good stuff. It's cheap for a reason and SOME are probably not that much different from cheap products elsewhere. HOWEVER if you find a brand that suits you and your skin then that's fine.

The warehouses that I use (for massage and beauty supplies) need a trade card, you're lucky to find one without.

I thought you needed a trade card because of something to do with VAT...??

Theres a unit on the Team Valley, near where I live, which sells hairdressing supplies, and I often wonder if they sell to the general public. I might call in and ask. My hairdresser uses a lovely smelling shampoo, its a bit like Pantene, might ask them what its called and see if I can buy some, as my daughter goes through loads of shampoo and conditioner.

the one near me sells to the public but adds vat onto the prices if you don't have a trade card.

Tradespeople have to pay the VAT when they buy from a wholesale warehouse or cash and carry. The invoice will show the net price then the VAT will be shown separately then a total. IF that tradesperson is VAT registered then they can reclaim the VAT.

A business only has to register for VAT if their turnover is £67,000 [figure for 2008/9] anything less than that and registration isn't necessary.

its great as a evey day shampoo if you dont have any chemicals on your hair such as colour ect.. we use it in our house but its only for the boys as it dosent matter so much if thier hair drys out they have regular cuts and keep thier hair short, i on the other hand have long hair that is coloured so i use the good stuff.

forgot to mention you should also be able to buy pumps that dispense out the right amount that fit the 5lt bottles to save you decanting it.

you can also pick up the same stuff in the supermarkets but not in such a large bottle its usually the home make bargain brand kept on the bottom shelves last time i looked it was about 60p i think
