Thanks to MoneySaver jumblejack for this tip. As mentioned by Tasuke below the offer is available in the UK. Further Details: http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/youthworkshops/

Apple is running 1.5 hours workshops for families to learn how to compose a song, produce a movie, create a photo album or make a presentation.

Workshops are available in 15 Stores around the UK (Bentall Center, Bluewater, Brent Cross, Buchanan Street, Bullring, Gtrand Archade, Lakeside, Liverpool One, Manchester Arndale, Meadowhall, Milton Keynes, Princesshay, Regent Street, Touchwood Center, Trafford Center, Westquay).

Registration is currently open for September JAM music workshops. Check back for future Movie, Photo and Presentation workshop dates.

The music workshop uses GarageBand to teach kids to compose a song with loops, beats and even their own vocals. At the end of the workshop, they’ll have a finished song on a CD and a workbook to use with other music projects.

    It is available in the UK;

    The quick way to see if things on the US site have an equivalent on the UK one is simply to add "/uk/" after the ".com" part. They usually keep the rest of the URL the same, in my experience, so it's fairly foolproof. :)
