Can I get rid of the smell of cigarettes?

I recently bought a book from Ebay and although it is in good condition it stinks of smoke! I usually make sure they say "from smoke free home" in the listing but didn't on this occasion. Is there any way of getting rid of this smell? Its horrible.

Put the book in a carrier bag and scrunch up some newspaper around it-leave overnight and that should remove the worst of the smoke smell. The newspaper will have absorbed the smoky smell. Hope this helps.0

Thanks I will try that. The only thing I could think of was to sit outside flapping the pages in the wind!0
