Cleaning my credit files??

Hi Everyone

I have been going through the process of cleaning my credit files and I have received letters from my banks saying they have updated the files with the correct information. But when I came to obtain my reports its a bit of a mish mash of correct and incorrect information...

I should of known that nothing runs smooth!!

Anyway I have a question as I am about to prepare the letters for the ISO...

on my report (Equifax) it says "Insight Last Update" do I need to worry about this date as I can't seem to find any information on this????

Did you look at the sticky about cleaning up credit files? I'm not really sure myself as I haven't started the process yet.

Insight is just the name that Equifax have given to their database.

Goodness knows why they had to give it a name, and why they want to put it on the reports is even more bizarre.

Insight is the name of Equifax's database which holds information provided by credit providers and other lenders, including details of existing and previous credit agreements and historical information about the repayment of these agreements.

The date that Insight was last updated for an account isn't really going to matter.

4 months in to my own bankruptcy, I think I'll have a look at the sticky myself!
