distance selling regs

Hi, could anyone advise on the regulations for distance sellin as my other half has bought a voucher for a makeover and photoshoot over the phone when she was cold called by a company, the details dont seem too good when they arrived, no where near as good as described on the phone, sensibly we paid by credit card and were hoping this provided a level of protection, thankyou, I & H
