PC World Fantastic!

When you're buying something techy, it's often easy to find a bargain on-line but from a company you don't know with sometimes sketchy delivery times... PC world have a fantastic option of ordering on-line at the on-line price - but you can then pick-up and pay in-store. You can see whether the item is in-stock and have 24 (or 48?) hours to pick up your item.
I saved ~£20 on a camera and my friend yesterday saved £40 on a Sat Nav!
Fantastic!

Its a useful feature that allows you to save a bit and means you know the item will be there when you get there.

If you go to their site via quidco.com you can get a bit of cashback too.

Ultimately the full blown online retailers will be cheaper but if you need it quickly....
  • in theory its a great idea, unfortunatly in my experience its a flawed system, there ha been a couple of occasions when ive ordered online and gone to pick the item up and found that theyve not put it aside and as the items were on the shop floor theyve been sold, then when ive made a complaint about it got a reply to the effect of "tough".

The other problem with dealing with pc world (and the rest of the dsg group) in my experience is that the customer service in many cases is virtually non existent, even when you show them the relevant legal guidelines they are supposed to follow.

And just incase anyone thinks im a DSG basher, well your right, but i dont work for a competitor, im an ex employee who knows how they work!!!!

In my experience with PC World this is nearly as funny as the Unleaded petrol £1 a litre thread :rotfl:
