Cost of living?

Well my parents (that I'm staying at with my fiancé) have a 3 bed house and the water rate is £600 a year or £50 per month for 4 people. We all take showers but in the hot weather my dad has to constantly fill up the pond that has 200+ fish in it so they do not die and I have to water the veggies etc so I can get fed through what I grow :rotfl: (although I do still buy food). Costs me at most £30 for food now but I'm vegan (so I eat alot of what I grow) however costs around £40, maybe more, for my fiancé also and he eats ALOT of meat  .
You do as others have said have to work out what you will have after rent, gas, eleki, water etc.
I would say that around £40/month for gas and eleki each would be fine for a single person and around that for water as well.
Living on your own is not going to be cheap. You will still have to pay 75% of the CT on the place so that could be up to £100 a month (for 10/12 months) depending on the place you rent and where due to it's band  .
You do have to think of line rental/phone bills and TV licence which is around £130 a year (just a bit more, you can pay monthly if you wish to). You have to think mobile bill if on contract or pay as you go cards if you are on that.
A clothes budget if you need one and I would highly reccomend having an emergency fund incase something goes wrong. There is nothing worse than something going wrong when you do not have any extra money to cover it happening.
I know there is alot more but my brain is just not working with me right now as you can see from my spelling. I would listen to the people on here as they do know what they are on about most the time.
Hope I've hepled a bit.
