Paying Weekly

I got a bit of advice recently about paying off my mortgage earlier. He said you can pay off your mortgage weekly so therefore cutting down on interest payments. apparently this can knock years and years of you mortgage without having to pay more. Also i get paid every 4 weeks not every month to have my mortgage money in the bank for ages until the pay date. Anyone else done this? done a search and couldn't find anything.

I think most lenders will not allow you to pay weekly. FYI, mortgages in Australia are paid bi-weekly.In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0
