Ocean, thanks for the url. There's no IFA especially near me but have had a quote from an IFA with Blackstone Moorgate for £3860 pa from £54k who will do it for a fee. If anyone knows if this can be improved on I'm all ears. Thanks again - Dora

I'm very grateful to everyone for all your help. I'm now waiting for the final couple of quotes and feel confident I'll be able to decide which one will be best for me in terms of returns, costs and tax position because of all the information and advice I've received in this thread.
