Was just reading an article in The Independent about saving money on glasses and general eyecare. Apparently, people who use a computer at work are entitled to free eyetests from their employer via the Eyecare voucher scheme, and could be eligible for vouchers for the cost of glasses. People should contact their human resources adviser at work for info.
This is the whole article- http://www.independent.co.uk/money/invest-save/how-to-cut-the-cost-of-glasses-contacts-and-laser-eye-surgery-883137.html
This was news to me- hope it's useful.
