I remember having to buy my GHD from a friend who owned a salon, it was years ago and no-one had them, they were like gold dust! I paid about £90 for them.. changed my life they did :D I just got bought a pair of these Babyliss ones but haven't even taken them out of the box yet, am a bit dissapointed by the views on here, I have VERY thick, curly hair and am now wondering if I should flog them on Ebay if they're not going to do the job.

i looked at different websites with reviews on them before i tried them, and it was very mixed. about half said they work great and they have thick hair (but then some people think they have thick hair but it's nothing compared to other people), and the other half said they hardly worked at all. thats why i tried them.

if you buy them from argos you could always take em back if they dont str8n - i think of em as being faulty because they arent doing what theyre meant to do. so if anyone brings me straighteners back that dont straighten, i refund em!
