Asda Price Match - How does it work?

Options
Hello,

I remember someone a few weeks ago mentioning that Asda price match. Well,we get loads of leaflets or ads in the local paper for offers in kwik save, morrisons etc. I'm assuming that they will match these prices but how does it work? Do you have to take the leaflets/ads in with you and show them to customer services or the till? Thanks

  • Hi Sarah all you do is keep the leaflet or newspaper ad and its best to keep the offers at the front or the back of your shopping so you can hand them in at the till. You highlight to the cashier what you are pricematching and they deduct or reduce. NOW sometimes asda have thier own offers on and depending on the operator they will either cancel out asdas offer, which you still win..but sometimes they cant be bothered so you win more!!! Hope this helps Woo.xx
I wished upon a star tonight that I would see you once more,
To hold you in my arms and tell you how much I love you,
To hear your voice, to kiss your cheek oh for just one more time,
But all I have are memories and a heart full of love and tears.

I went into Asda today with a leaflet from Somerfield; they had Tropicana Orange juice on offer at 99p each. In Asda, they're £1.62 each or two for £2.50. I had 4 cartons of juice (we get through 6 - 8 per week) but they would only price match on one of them. The cashier called a supervisor over who told me that they only match one item; has this always been the case? This is the first time I've taken a leaflet in to get a match.
I have the mind of a criminal genius. I keep it in the freezer next to Mother....

They should of let you buy all 4 cartons at 99p each ,on the last carton you brought they should have added the multisave back on making that carton £2.47 this would make it the price you could buy all 4 of them from somerfield. Some checkout operators can't be bothered to work this out,so you could save more.
  • They match under the same terms and conditions as on the leaflet for example safeways used to limit there deals to 3 per customer so Asda would do the same. If there is a minimum spend to get the price match then that would be the same in Asda. As mentioned before it's best to seperate stuff out and keep with your leaflets prob best to do at the end of your shopping so you can see whats going on and you won't have to do it while still loading your shopping on belt. Also Asda will only price match before you have purchased the goods.

    Hope this Helps

There have been many examples where the Asda offer is given as well as the AD-Match offer and this can add up to big savings and even getting products and being paid for taking them away.

On occasion I have pointed this pout to a checkout operator - she just said 'oh that is a good deal' and carried on scanning the other items.

As with all these things, it may differ between stores and even between checkout operators. I was recently in Asda in Aberdare and the operator there knew about ad-match but had never actually had anyone use it.
Your really can not beat a good bargain !!!
