Child Support when not part of REMO?

  • Hi OP and others who are in the same boat on this thread. I just want to offer my two pence worth and give some support to you, as I have gone through what you are going through, with exeption ex is working in a REMO country. (that is still no guarantee that ex will ever have to pay a penny for his child and takes months if not years, I'm told by the REMO office in London)

I say what the government need to do is to find a way to empower the CSA to chase these NRP who are allowed to neglect their legal and moral responsibilities to their children by simply up and moving to another country. I think that this 'grey area' is diabolical! At the very least, these people should be accruing huge DEBTS in arrears whilst not paying for their kids and be forced to pay up if and when they come back to the UK. Nil assessments are WRONG in these situations, when involving a non paying British Citizen.

My best and sincerest advice is to MAKE A PRIVATE AGREEMENT. Do it now before REMO or anything else.
