Most people on this board advise against consolidation loans because the danger is that you take out the loan but still run the debts up again, and end up worse than before. Another disadvantage is that it is very inflexible.
The first place to start might be to put all the figures into a debt consolidation calculator like the one here http://www.thesalarycalculator.co.uk/debt.php
so at least you can see whether it is a good idea or not in terms of the interest you would pay over the life of the loan.0 -

Well the mortgage has gone out today which has taken us overdrawn by £540. God i hate going overdrawn!!
