Black Patent Clutch Bag

Hi Everyone,
This forum is so insirational.
Yesterday I bought a black patent clutchbag from BHF charity shop. It was £5, and just the right size etc.
I have looked at it, and there are a few marks on it - does anyone have any tips on sprucing it up?
Thanks

Hi there - years ago I was told that Vaseline brings back the shine to patent leather and it really does work. Just apply a small amount with a soft cloth and use a clean cloth to polish it off. It helps to keep it supple, too. Sounds like you've found a real bargain - patent clutch bags are really 'on-trend' at the moment. Long live the charity shops - I'd be lost without them!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

I have to wear patent leather shoes at work sometime - don't ask - and I use ordinary furnitur polish and an old well worn duster0

Thanks for the responses. I am off to get the Vaseline now.
Take Care
