A few years ago my hubby was conned into signing up for critical illness or sickness cover which they hid in the mortgae. He was a bit silly but had no idea what they were doing. It was only when we came to re-mortgate to add me on that our broker spotted it!
Any ideas on how we can go about re-claiming some if not all the 4.5 grand!!
Thanks

If it was sold as a single premium then there are good grounds for complaint. You should complain to the advising company that you used before.
If it was a regular premium then you are going to find it much harder as there is nothing wrong with having it in regular premium form. Your new broker should be able to help guide you on where to complain.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
