well having had a Dip from first national for £130000, with a £15,000 deposit and salary of £40,000 on 4/7/08 - have just applied for £110,000 still £15,000 deposit to be told the most they will lend is £100,000 so if we want the dream house we have to magic £10,000 out of thin air.
If they had told me this from the begining  that would have been ok - i know i have bad credit due to DMP but with a good salary i thought things were turning for us. The house we wanted was a perfect longterm famiy home and a bargin at £125000 needs alot of work which we would have done and once done it would have held its value even with a downturn in prices.
but is is obviously not to be - very philosophical even if I have tears rolling down my face.:(

Being philosophical is very grown up - I feel for you and hope someone will be along soon who can offer some professional advice.Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0

you could always try and get the 10k knocked off the price of the house.
with the way the market is they may consider it.
if it is your dream house you have to try everything and if you dont ask you will never know.
good luck xsealed pot challenge member #9200
