Charging Order timescales - help please

Hi can anyone help. I have just complete the admission (N92) in relation to legal action my creditors solicitors tell me they are going for a charging order following a CCJ being put against me for the whole amout (i know they will do this) does anyone have a rough idea of timescales from when I have posted my admission form to the date of my interim charging order hearing? Some say 6 weeks others say 3 months - I just want this all to end and would like an idea of what to expect.

Many thanks

I think it depends on the court concerned. They vary. Best phone them up and ask them.

I have contacted the court and they tell me they are booked up for the next 4 weeks but could give me 7 days notice of a hearing. I am so confused

Have a look on the National Debline website on charging orders or give them a call - they should be able to help.
It sounds to me the court are booked up for 4 weeks so no need to worry but when they do schedule you in they need to give you 7 days notice at least. I am sure there is a minimum amount of notice they need to give you. Anyway would phone National Debtline - I am sure they will be able to help you out.

Charging Orders are a targetted area of work - there should be a maximum of 10 weeks from the interim charging order to the hearing but no less than 3 weeks as 21 days is required for service. x

    Hi there,
I takes about 2 weeks for the CCJ judgement to be passed to your local court for enforcement, another 6 weeks approx for the interim hearing, after that it's another 2 months approx for hearing to make final CO. You're givien the final CO court date when they make the interim CO.
