Full and Final Settlements
i am slowly paying off my debts of aourn £25k to 7 companies.
4 of have now agreed full and final settlements and said they will mark my credit file as "satisfied"
However i just called barclaycard with regard an other i made to them, they said they never recieved the letter (as usual), it was for 60% and said they would accept 75% but would only mark the credit file as partially satisfied.
They said that is is all most companies do.
They now have me concerned about the other companies i have settled with (two paid for, other two i'm waiting on written offers)
I know i should be checking my credit file after each settlement, but how long should i wait to allow them to update it?
what do i do if they have marked it as partial and not satisfied?
If i have an offer on paper, should i pay over the phone or send it as as cheque so i can keep a copy of the letter stating my terms, i.e. marking my file as satisfied.
Any help would be great.
Companies i have settled with are
Wescot
Tesco Credit Card
waiting on letters from
Moorcroft
Metropolitan
Lastly, should they tell me who the credit reference is with or do i have to send £2 to all three credit reference companies each time?
Please advise.

I think it might mislead other lenders if four lenders said that they had been fully satisfied when in fact they had been placed in a position where they got substantialy less than their entitlement. How fair would that be to other lenders?
I am pleased for you that you have managed to agree full and final settlement with most of your lenders and hope that you may be able to do so with the others................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0
