Stopping your phone provider phoning you is a bit tricky. No, really.
The basic approach is still the same though. Write and tell them to remove you from their mailing list and not to contact you in future with any offers of services or other advertising. If they don't then you can still complain to the OFT about this. Also join the telephone preference service, which they have to take notice of. They could still call you in some circumstances but unsolicited sales calls will stop.
